Along with her musical discography and impressive philanthropic work, Dolly Parton is renowned for her impressive wardrobe. And so the ethereality of pretty white dresses, many of them diaphanous, was balanced by more grounded (and often tailored) black looks, some shrouded (see Rick Owens, Issey Mikaye, and Undercover) that tended towards the serious, or more understated.
